First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), Iryna Gerashchenko, has said that on July 31, talks will be held via Skype on the release of hostages, possibly after the meeting of the Normandy Four (representatives of Germany, France, Ukraine, and Russia).

“The Ukrainian representatives, who were endowed with all the relevant powers and directives, once again sharply raised the issue of agreeing a specific date for the release of all Ukrainians. We are ready to compromise in order to release our guys. And we are moving in this direction. The next Skype talks are scheduled for July 31. I hope, they will be held after the negotiations in the Normandy format and will be effective,” she wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
