You're reading: Germany to allocate 14.3 million euros for improving access to water for Donbas people

The German Federal Government has granted the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) an additional 14.3 million euros for a new project aimed at improving access to water for citizens who live along the demarcation line in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

“Now we are starting a new project with UNICEF, the one we will present today, which will bring additional funding from Germany at the level of 14.3 million euros and it concerns water infrastructure in Donbas and should guarantee access to water to 2.5 million people in Eastern Ukraine in 2018-2019,” Deputy Head of the German Embassy to Ukraine Wolfgang Bindseil said at a press conference in Kyiv on Dec. 12.
