Germany has allocated another 1 million euros for humanitarian projects implemented by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in relation to residents of Donbas.

“Germany supports the humanitarian activities carried out by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) this year with a grant of 1 million euros,” said the German Embassy to Ukraine.

The diplomatic mission noted that in this way, UNHCR will be able to continue its humanitarian assistance activities aimed at people in eastern Ukraine who “suffer from conflict on both sides of the disengagement line.” Among such measures are repair and preparation for winter of damaged or destroyed houses and apartments in the conflict zone, social support of communities that have accepted internally displaced persons, improvement of infrastructure at the crossing points of the disengagement line, counseling of victims of the conflict when solving administrative and legal issues.
