Due to restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a scaled back ceremony Saturday in Calgary on the day of remembrance for the victims of Holodomor.

Hundreds of candles burn at the Holodomor Memorial in Kyiv on Nov. 28, 2020, the Holodomor Remembrance Day. Ukrainians are also suggested to light candles that day at home to commemorate the famine victims.
