You're reading: Government allows Energoatom to redeem its 2022 bonds

The Cabinet of Ministers permitted National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom to redeem bonds issued at the end of 2012 with maturity in December 2022, which, according to the data presented at a government session, are now circulating in the market with a total nominal value of Hr 942.118 million.

“Energoatom, if the owners of bonds or their authorized persons provide a notice with the intention of presenting the bonds for redemption, shall redeem them in accordance with Clause 3.6.2 of the offering circulars,” according to government order No. 933-r dated August 11, 2021, published on the government portal on August 12.

According to the offering circulars, Clause 3.6.2 determines the procedure for the redemption of bonds at the initiative of their issuer after notification by the owner of the bonds about the intention to present them for redemption. In accordance with this Clause, Energoatom shall redeem these bonds on a quarterly basis from March 2015 for a nominal value of Hr 53.125 million.

The closest buyback date is September 15 this year, and buyback applications must be submitted from September 1 to September 7.
