The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the government and investors in renewable energy, foreseeing the reduction of the feed-in tariff for solar power plants by 15% and for wind farms – by 7.5%.

The corresponding decision with one-day review (while maintaining key conditions) was made at a government meeting on June 10.

“Through lengthy discussions and complex negotiations with investors, including with the participation of the Energy Community Secretariat, compromise agreements were reached that take into account the interests of consumers, investors in renewable energy and the state,” acting Minister of Energy Olha Buslavets said, presenting the draft memorandum.
