You're reading: Government extends exemption from land tax for some space enterprises until 2023

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended until January 1, 2023 the exemption from land tax on industrial land plots for part of space and rocket industry enterprises.

This is stipulated in government resolution No. 111 of March 1, which amends resolution No. 1248 of December 29, 2010.

According to the document, Kyivprylad production amalgamation (Kyiv) and PJSC Hartron (Kharkiv) were withdrawn from the list of beneficiary enterprises approved in 2010. The list itself is not given.

As follows from the explanatory note to the document, this decision is aimed at promoting the further development of space industry enterprises, as well as expanding Ukraine’s participation in the implementation of international space projects.

“The implementation of the act will help reduce state budget costs for compensation of local budget losses for granted benefits for land tax payment, implementation of state control over the use of the privileges granted,” the explanatory note states.
