Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has said about 50% of the country’s economy being in the “shadow”.

“Approximately 50% of the country’s economy is in the shadow today,” the premier said in his video address on Oct. 31.

He said that the increase in minimum wages since 2017 up to Hr 3,200 will help bring the economy out of the shadows. He also said it is necessary to decouple the salary of judges and government officials from the minimum wage.
