Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman supports the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky about sending Hr 300 million to military awards but also supports the holding of a parade on Independence Day.

“I believe that the president’s proposal to allocate an additional Hr 300 million to increase social standards for our soldiers is absolutely correct, I support it,” Groysman said at a government meeting on July 10.

At the same time, the premier noted that Ukraine should hold a parade on Independence Day on August 24.

“It should be a parade of pride, valor, dignity of the Ukrainian people, the state,” he added.

Groysman stressed that the parade should be held not at the expense of social payments to the military, but at the expense of other sources.

“I want to instruct the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Defense to calculate the cost of the parade, the sources of financing,” said the prime minister.

Groysman noted that these proposals would be sent to the president.
