The Health Ministry of Ukraine has proposed increasing the cost of the government investment project to build a diagnostics and treatment complex of the National Specialized Children’s Hospital Okhmatdyt in 2019 by Hr 400 million, foreseeing the supply of essential equipment for the new building in the project.

According to the minutes of the meeting of the interdepartmental commission on the issues of government investment projects, posted on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, this proposal was announced by Deputy Minister of Health Roman Ilyk during the meeting of the commission on April 22.

In addition, Ilyk informed the commission that the cost of the updated project for the construction of the new building of the hospital, excluding additional funds, is Hr 4.925 billion.

“The cost of the project increased by Hr 990 million, or 25 percent due to an increase in the cost of building materials, inflation, salary levels, and also due to the inclusion of an additional component in the project: the supply of medical equipment,” the commission said.

As of April 22, according to the information of the Health Ministry, the datasheet of the budget program was approved.

Thanks to advance payments during 2018, works for Hr 84.928 million were carried out under the project, including construction works for Hr 81.198 million, and Hr 3.733 million was spent on the purchase of equipment.

The commission recognized the project’s status as partially satisfactory.
