MOSCOW- The High Court of England and Wales on March 15 suspended proceedings in a suit brought by Ukraine’s Naftogaz back on Feb. 28, 2018 seeking to enforce a ruling by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce in the territory of England and Wales, the Russian gas giant said in a statement.

The suit was filed as part of litigation between Naftogaz and Gazprom over a gas transit contract.

Proceedings in the UK court were suspended pending the outcome of proceedings in the Svea Court of Appeal.

“Gazprom will continue to defend its rights,” the company said.
