You're reading: Holos proposes ways to solve problem of labor migration in Ukraine

The leader of the Holos party, MP Kira Rudyk, says that the bill proposed by her offers a way to solve the problem of labor migration in Ukraine.

“The state should come up with a consistent and systematic program to support the economy, not aggravate the challenges already created by the coronavirus, and also understand that without the support of people, economic development will be blocked. The business support plan provides, in my opinion, several mandatory steps. I registered a bill that redirects Hr 10 billion to support businesses (it concerns bill No. 6052-2, which provides for the redirection of funds to the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, which issues loans to support small and medium-sized businesses). This is enough to provide funding to those whose business may not survive the lockdown,” the press service of the political force quotes Rudyk.

At the same time, she recalled that the Holos bill No. 5132, registered in the spring, provides for an extension of the moratorium on inspections of entrepreneurs, “after all, inspections are an element of pressure on business that does not bring additional funds to the budget,” the party leader said.

According to the MP, it is also necessary to exempt from ERUs enterprises and entrepreneurs, who are forced to restrict their work during lockdowns. And in order to avoid any discrimination, this rule should apply to everyone who is affected by government restrictions, Rudyk said.

“It is also necessary to stop the attempts of ‘fiscal terrorists’ to pass the extortionate bill 5600, which is openly harmful to Ukrainians. Back in the summer, we registered an alternative bill No. 5600-1, which guarantees equal tax rules for everyone and abolishes tax breaks for oligarchic businesses and monopolies. We call for a reduction in personal income taxes and a single social contribution. We are in favor of lowering the labor tax from 41.5% to 35%. Will the budget lose from this? No. Therefore, getting out of the shadow of wages allows us to compensate for all possible losses,” the MP said.

In addition, the overfulfillment of the revenue side of the budget, according to her, already now allows to reduce the tax burden without losses, and not increase it. “Only the support of people of action will allow us not only to overcome the consequences of the coronavirus but also form the foundation for long-term economic development and a high standard of living for Ukrainians,” the party leader said.
