No major violations have been recorded in the first couple of weeks of the ceasefire announced on July 27. However, both the JFO and OSCE SMM have reported variable rounds of “provocative firing” and extensive engineering, fortification and trench work by Russia-backed separatists directed toward Ukrainian military positions in all sectors.
