You're reading: Infrastructure minister promises no increase in cost of railway tickets

There will be no increase in the cost of train tickets after the end of quarantine, Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy has said.

“As regards rail transportation, there will be no increase in the cost. We perfectly understand the social effect and importance of these transportation,” he said during a briefing following a cabinet meeting on May 20.

Speaking about fixed-route city taxi and bus transportation, the minister noted that tariff increases should also not occur.

“It [the fare] is set at the city level and should not rise. Unless the city starts to revision, given the social aspect of this issue,” he added.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine permitted the work of urban and suburban transport from May 22, subway from May 25.
