The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine is considering the possibility of transferring the port of Izmail and other seaports of Ukraine to concession, Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy has said.

“Izmail – there will be concession, Chornomorsk and a ferry crossing – there will also be, and we will also prepare Berdiansk seaport for concession. The only thing is that we will wait a bit with Pivdenny port,” he said during the roundtable “Transport Infrastructure Reform in Ukraine,” organized by the European Business Association.

At the same time, the minister noted that the start of the transfer process is scheduled for 2020.

“Exactly this year [the start of concession]. I want to have already started preparing a feasibility study, depending on whether it is a public initiative or a private one. We are ready for different experiments. We need to see which format will work best and will allow implementing everything in the shortest possible time,” Krykliy said.
