Iran has declared its readiness to start bilateral negotiations with Ukraine on the downed plane of Ukraine International Airlines (PS752 flight) starting from July 20, 2020, Embassy of Iran in Ukraine reported.
The Embassy of Ukraine in the Islamic Republic of Iran was notified by the Foreign Ministry of Islamic Republic of Iran.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran neither conceals anything nor seeks reasons not to cooperate with Ukraine. In this regard, today, July 8, 2020, the Iranian side, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, declared its readiness to start the Embassy of Ukraine in the Islamic Republic of Iran bilateral negotiations, starting July 20, 2020, and now we are waiting for the date proposed by the Ukrainian side,” reads the document: “The Position of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ukraine on the process of bilateral negotiations on the catastrophe – the crash of the plane making the PS752 flight,” quoted by the embassy on July 8.
It is noted that the Iranian side did not leave notes of the Ukrainian side unanswered, and these answers were either given by official notes, or at official meetings of the Iranian leadership with Ukraine’s ambassador to Iran, as well as at meetings of Iran’s ambassador with the Ukrainian leadership.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always stated its readiness to negotiate with the Ukrainian side, guided by current international law related to this issue, and full, comprehensive texts have been submitted to the Ukrainian side in recent months, but so far this has remained unanswered,” reads the report.
As earlier reported, Ukraine will probably sooner or later appeal to the UN International Court of Justice because of the destruction of the Ukraine International Airlines plane by Iran.
