Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett thanked President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for the adoption of the law on preventing and countering anti-Semitism in Ukraine during a telephone conversation, the press service of Ukrainian president said on Oct. 21.

Zelensky in his turn thanked Naftali Bennett for Israel’s consistent support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, in particular within the UN.

“Zelensky noted the symbolism of the state visit of Israeli President Isaac Herzog to Ukraine in October 2021, during which the leaders took part in events to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy,” it says.

Zelensky and Naftali discussed further steps to deepen Ukrainian-Israeli cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
