Russian-led forces violated the ceasefire in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, four times; no Ukrainian army casualties have been reported, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has said.

“The Russian occupation forces violated the ceasefire four times from 07:00 to 18:00 Kyiv time today. They did not use heavy weapons. No JFO casualties were reported,” the press center said in an evening update on Wednesday, August 1.

Enemy troops fired grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms to attack the JFO units stationed near the village of Krymske and the town of Maryinka.

Moreover, militants fired small arms on Ukrainian positions near the village of Stanytsia Luhanska, an area subject to disengagement under a Trilateral Contact Group decision, which has once again failed because of the provocation, the JFO press center said.

“The situation in the JFO zone remains under control,” it said.
