A virtual kindergarten will work on the basis of the virtual platform of emotional support created by the monitoring center to counter the spread of COVID-19, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said.

“The city is doing everything possible not only to prevent the spread of the virus, but also to support the residents of Kyiv who are under quarantine at home. The virtual platform of emotional support, which was launched on the basis of the COVID-19 Counter-Monitoring Center, is becoming increasingly popular. A virtual kindergarten is added to platform services from April 23. These will be activities for children 4-6 years old. Professional teachers were involved in the classes,” Klitschko said during an online press conference on April 21.

He noted that today a quarter of website visitors are not Kyiv residents, and the number of visitors from other cities and towns is constantly growing.

“We understand the need to support all Ukrainians. And therefore I, as the chairman of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, want to help my fellow mayors. We will expand the capabilities of our virtual platform to provide maximum assistance to everyone who needs it. Our specialists are also ready to help other regions as much as possible in the creation of such services,” said Klitschko.

According to the website of Klitschko, users of the virtual platform can, in particular, take advantage of consultations of trainers on psycho-emotional support, online courses, online sports training, and virtual tours of the capital’s museums and theaters.
