President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed appreciation to second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma for his work as Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) and noted that he respects his decision to stop participating in the TCG’s activities, the President’s Office of Ukraine said.
“Thank you for all the efforts you have made to unblock the Minsk process for the sake of achieving peace. Your experience was the most important and extremely necessary. I am always ready to hear your advice in the future,” Zelensky said during a meeting with Kuchma on Tuesday.
The head of state said that Kuchma’s work in the Minsk process was extremely important and difficult as well, and noted that he respects his decision to terminate his participation in the TCG.
