Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has thanked Romania for rescuing Ukrainian sailors from the Volgo-Balt 179 ship that sank in the Black Sea on March 11.

“Grateful to Romanian Naval Authority & MinDef for their professionalism and saving Ukrainian sailors from Volgo-Balt 179. Ten lives are saved in extremely difficult weather conditions, and Romanian medics are helping them now. Search operation continues,” Kuleba wrote on his Twitter page on March 12.

As reported, the Volgo Balt 179 with 13 Ukrainians on board sank in the Black Sea off the coast of Romania. Ten sailors were rescued, two sailors died.
