Oleh Ruban, head of the main department of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (State Consumer Protection) in Kyiv, has said that clinical tests are available in Ukraine since July 22 that can detect the “Delta” strain of coronavirus.
“Today, tests have appeared in Kyiv, diagnostics will be carried out to specifically identify the pathogen of ‘Delta.’ As for the pandemic, indeed, today Delta is a priority in circulation. In Ukraine, it has been around for two months already,” Ruban said on the air of Ukraina 24 TV channel on July 22.
As reported, on July 14, Ukraine registered two cases of infection with the “Delta” strain of coronavirus for the first time. This happened in Zakarpattia region.
