Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) has announced the competition for the best mascot of the Ukrainian capital.

“The KCSA order has been signed to hold the competition ‘Mascot of the City of Kyiv’ in 2018,” the administration’s press service reported, with reference to a press conference held at the Museum of Kyiv History.

The competition’s organizing committee is headed by KCSA Deputy Chairman Oleksiy Reznikov.

“The purpose of the competition is to form and keep a positive image of the Ukrainian capital. The selection of the city’s mascot will enhance the popularization of Kyiv as a modern European city at the international tourist stage and secure its status as a modern metropolis with a centuries-old history and unique identity,” the administration’s press service reported.

The competition will be held in three stages. The winner and the final press conference will be held on July 16, 2018. The winner of the competition will receive a cash reward of Hr 150,000. Individuals and legal entities can participate in the competition.
