Kyiv District Administrative Court has opened proceedings in the case involving Oleh Koretsky’s suit against the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), the court’s press service said.

“Among the requirements of the said claim is to declare illegal the actions of the acting SBI Director Oleksandr Sokolov regarding the warning of the upcoming dismissal of Koretsky. The plaintiff also asks the court to cancel the order of June 17, 2020 No. 75 on approval and introduction of changes to the staffing list of the SBI’s 2020 central apparatus,” the court said.

It is noted that the case will be considered according to the rules of the simplified lawsuit without calling the parties on the available materials in the case.

As reported, on July 8, the SBI said Koretsky’s allegations about being pressured were untrue and politically motivated.

It also said the SBI’s internal control department would check the information contained in the public statements of the said employee.

As reported, Koretsky has alleged being pressured to initiate criminal proceedings against former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who is the leader of the European Solidarity Party faction in parliament.
