Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko has met with Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister of Hungary Peter Szijjarto on Feb. 7 to discuss bilateral relations between Ukraine and Hungary.

“The sides discussed the full range of issues on the agenda of Ukraine-Hungary relations, including the implementation of the law on education in Ukraine and the issues related to national minorities,” the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine said.

Szijjarto said that Hungary is interested in improvement of bilateral relations and intensification of economic cooperation with Ukraine.

In turn, Prystaiko noted that with the adoption of the law on secondary education on Jan. 16, 2020, Ukraine has fulfilled all recommendations of the Venice Commission regarding the education law and hopes that Hungary in response would unblock a high-level dialogue between Ukraine and NATO.
