The European Union at the summit is represented by European Council President Donald Tusk and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker. President Petro Poroshenko represents Ukraine.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice President Federica Mogherini is also participating on behalf of the European side.

Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commissioners Johannes Hahn and Cecilia Malmstrom have also arrived at the Ukrainian presidential administration, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.

In addition, the issues of the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia, the regional and international situations are on the agenda of the summit.

As Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said earlier, special attention would be paid to the energy and transport sectors, as well as to the fight against corruption.

“Of course, a large block of discussions will be devoted to political dialogue, justice, freedom and security, and of course the effectiveness of the fight against corruption will also be discussed. In short, the road map for further reforms in Ukraine with EU support will be on the agenda,” Klympush-Tsintsadze said on Facebook on July 12.
