Kyiv Metropoliten carried 279.484 million passengers in 2020, which is 215.816 million, or 56% less than in the previous year.
“The coronavirus epidemic and quarantine affected the number of passengers transported last year. However, the leading stations in terms of passenger traffic remain unchanged. Thus, Akademmistechko station remained the busiest in 2020. During the year, 12.5 million Kyiv residents and guests of the capital used it,” deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Hustelev said.
According to him, the next station in terms of passenger traffic is Lisova station, which served 11.560 million passengers.
The smallest number of passengers was traditionally recorded at Dnipro station – 555,000.
In general, the “red” line of 18 stations carried almost 114 million people. The “blue” line carried 97.7 million passengers, and the “green” line was used by 67.8 million Kyiv residents and guests of the capital during the year.
