Shelling in Donbas in May has killed seven Ukrainian troops and left more than 140 injured, Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov said during a visit to the contact line near Maryinka and Krasnohorivka (Donetsk region).
“Throughout May, as a result of military provocations, seven of our troops were killed and 141 injured. One of the latest trends is the use of heavy 152-millimeter self-propelled artillery and multiple rocket launchers to strike the Ukrainian army positions within a range of up to 20 kilometers from the dividing line,” Turchynov said, the NSDC spokesperson said on the evening of May 31.
