Russia-led forces mounted two attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, in the past day; two soldiers were wounded in action, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has said.
“On March 13, the Russia-led forces violated the ceasefire twice… As a result of the shelling, two soldiers were wounded,” it said on Facebook in a morning update on March 14.
Hot spots were the town of Avdiyivka where the enemy used anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms and the town of Maryinka where Ukrainian troops were under sniper fire.
Ukrainian soldiers fired back, using available weapons.
According to a Ukrainian intelligence report, one separatist was killed, another three were wounded.
“No attacks on Ukrainian positions have been reported since March 14 morning,” the JFO said.
