The Ukrainian army positions in Donbas were shelled by enemy 30 times on May 17, injuring two Ukrainian servicemen as a result, the press center of the Ukrainian military headquarters said in a 6 p.m. update on May 17.

In the Donetsk sector, the situation remains most tense south of Avdiyivka where the enemy fired 120- and 82-millimeter mortars, small arms and large-caliber machineguns, the headquarters said.

In the direction of Luhansk, the enemy fired grenades and 120- and 82-millimeter mortars against Ukrainian positions near Krymske.
