You're reading: Kyivkhlib plans to quarantine only bakery where COVID-19 outbreak recorded

Kyivkhlib, a large Ukrainian producer of bread and bakery goods, is operating in the normal mode and will not quarantine other production sites, except for the eight bakery, whose employees were found to be infected with coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.

The company said in a statement on Friday that no any new cases in the company have been detected.

“Definitely, during the scheduled testing, which the company conducts at its own expense, 37 cases of the disease were detected. We conduct a daily medical examination of all employees. Cases of the disease detected on time are the result of such a comprehensive work. Te eight bakery is closed for quarantine. There are disinfection measures inside. Patients who had minimal symptoms have stayed at home for several days in accordance with the requirements of the Health Ministry. All contact persons are on self-isolation,” the company said, citing Acting Head of Kyivkhlib Board Olena Korin.

She said that additional disinfection is being carried out at the company’s production sites. All subdivisions are operating in the normal mode and have reserves to fulfill orders of retail chains for products manufactured by the eight bakery.

As reported with reference to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the outbreak of COVID-19 disease among the employees of Kyivkhlib company was confirmed in Ukraine’s capital.
