Doctors will receive surcharges for working with patients infected with COVID-19 in the amount of 300% of the salary, along with the accrual of salaries for April, said Deputy Minister of Health, chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko.

“The state will pay every doctor who works with coronavirus infection, pay emergency medical care, pay those who take samples for research. If a hospital has a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine and provides medical assistance to fight against coronavirus, then in April they will receive the promised 300% surcharge to each health worker,” he said on the air of the Right to Power program on 1+1 TV channel.

He also noted that such surcharges for March were received by those hospitals where there were confirmed cases of COVID-19 in March.

Liashko also noted that “the local government can co-finance the doctors who work with the coronavirus.”
