A booster dose of the vaccine against the coronavirus disease COVID-19 will become available to residents of Ukraine after crossing the mark of 50% of vaccinated citizens, Health Minister Viktor Liashko said.

“As soon as we cross the mark of 50% of the vaccinated population in Ukraine, we will return to the issue of a booster dose, or repeated, two-fold vaccination against coronavirus disease,” Liashko told reporters on the sidelines of parliament on Nov. 5.

At the same time, he said that as of today, only the city of Kyiv has crossed such a mark with an indicator of 55% of vaccinated residents (at least one dose). In addition, according to the minister, more than 40% of those vaccinated were recorded in Poltava, Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
