You're reading: Luhansk separatists transfers 33 prisoners to Kyiv

LUHANSK – Russia-backed separatists in parts of Luhansk region that are not under the control of Kyiv government, on Feb. 7 have transferred 33 prisoners to Kyiv. They will serve out their sentences in Ukraine.

“Another agreement with Ukraine was unilaterally fulfilled. Some 33 prisoners sentenced in 2014 were transferred,”  representative of Luhansk separatists in the Trilateral Contract Group’s humanitarian subgroup Olha Kotbtseva said.

In December, separatists transferred 42 prisoners to Kyiv.
