Lviv Armor Plant is to pay around Hr 10 million to the national budget for delay in production and supply of combat vehicles Dozor-B, the press service of the military prosecutor’s office of Western Ukraine has reported.

“The business court of Kyiv satisfied a claim of the military prosecutor’s office of Western Ukraine. It was decided to collect Hr 9.8 million from state-owned enterprise Lviv Armor Plant to the national budget,” the office said on August 7 on its website.

In December 2015, the Defense Ministry and the plant signed a contract to supply 10 Dozor-B vehicles to be used in the combat zone in Donbas.

The sum sent in advance by the Defense Ministry to the plant to produce the vehicles exceeded the plant’s expenses and Lviv Armor Plant was to return almost Hr 6.5 million to the ministry. The plant did not send the funds.

“Reacting to violation of law and acting in the interests of the Defense Ministry, the military prosecutor’s office filed a claim to collect Hr 6.5 million and a fine of Hr 3.3 million for delay of supply of the combat vehicles,” the office said.

The court satisfied the claim in full amount.
