A total of 105 foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine have fully or partially resumed work, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said.
“We are resuming the work of foreign diplomatic institutions, embassies of Ukraine and consulates of Ukraine abroad. As of today, the consular reception at 105 embassies and consulates has been fully or partially resumed. In total there are 116 of them. That is, the vast majority of embassies and consulates have resumed their work on the consular the reception of citizens, which, I recall, was discontinued due to the spread of the pandemic and the establishment of bans by relevant countries,” he said at an online briefing on Tuesday.
The minister noted that assistance to Ukrainians abroad remains an absolute priority, and there are not only travelers, but Ukrainians already located abroad who need help, support, paperwork, etc.
“Eleven foreign diplomatic institutions that have not resumed their work yet are located in countries where the pandemic situation is particularly difficult, and therefore we cannot resume consular reception in full at the moment. But we will do it as soon as such an opportunity arises,” Kuleba said.
