President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the next batches of medical equipment from China will be sent first of all to Chernivtsi and Ternopil regions.

“The next cargoes from China will be sent first of all to Ternopil and Chernivtsi region, where the situation is complicated,” he said in a video message on April 3.

Zelensky said that after doctors from Monastyryska, Ternopil region, addressed him negotiations were held with the healthcare department.

“The medical personnel is fully staffed and continues to work, and I thank them for this,” he said.

The president also noted that today there are four artificial lung ventilators in the Monastyryska hospital, and the local authorities will purchase several more through a tender on the ProZorro platform.

“The employees have been provided with outwear and protective masks for the coming days, the work continues to fully supply them with all necessary equipment. The issue of providing with equipment other hospitals in the region, including Kozova district, is also being tackled. Chief sanitary doctor Viktor Liashko visited Ternopil region with this purpose today,” he said.
