A missile attack was reported in Odesa Region on April 26. A railway bridge across the Dniester estuary in Odesa Region was damaged, according to the spokesman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Bratchuk.
This attack is a part of the Russian strategy to disrupt the Ukrainian rail system and damage the regular flow of supplies to Ukrainian armed forces and the population.
According to other sources, another enemy rocket fell among the private buildings of one of the local settlements. The head of state rail operator Ukrzaliznytsya, Oleksandr Kamyshin, said there are no injured railway workers.
“This was not the first attempt to hit the bridge,” said Belgorod-Dniester Mayor Vitaliy Hrazhdan. According to him, earlier missiles fired since the war began were shot down by Ukrainian air defense.
For security reasons, the traffic on the Odesa-Belgorod-Dnistrovsky highway is temporarily blocked. Drivers moving in the direction of the south of Odesa Region are recommended to drive across the road to Palanka.
The missile strike will probably cause some problems with logistics, but there is no critical situation and supplies to stores will be delivered as usual.
