You're reading: More than 100 Ukrainians evacuated by plane from Tallinn to Ukraine

Some 118 Ukrainian citizens have been evacuated from Tallinn by a charter flight on March 27 due to assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia and SkyUp Airlines, Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia Mariana Betsa said.

“On March 27, the Embassy of Ukraine [in Estonia] has evacuated today 118 Ukrainian citizens via a third charter flight organized by the embassy, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine and SkyUp Airlines. In total for the past week 383 Ukrainian citizens returned to Ukraine in the wake of coronavirus spread. We are sincerely grateful to our partners from SkyUp for assistance,” Betsa said in Twitter on March 27.

The ambassador added that citizens of Estonia, Lithuania and Finland also were taken by a charter flight from Kyiv to Tallinn on March 27.

“We also helped our friends and partners to evacuate citizens of Estonia, Lithuania and Finland back home from Ukraine on March 27,” the diplomat said.
