Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service has identified hundreds of persons who illegally visited temporarily occupied territories in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions and has banned them entry to Ukraine for three years, in accordance with Ukrainian law.

“Since January 2018, State Border Guard Service employees have drafted protocols against 600 persons for illegally crossing the border at closed border checkpoints. Some 740 foreigners have been banned from entering Ukraine for three years,” the service’s press service said on Friday.

Persons who enter temporarily occupied territories are in violation of Article 332-1 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code and Article 204-1 and Article 204-2 of Ukraine’s Code of Administrative Offenses.
