According to the data of the Polish border service for April 16, for the first time since the beginning of the war on Feb. 24, more people entered Ukraine (22,200) than left it (19,200).

The UN reported that 4.8 million Ukrainian citizens fled the country after the Russian invasion on Feb. 24. More than 650,000 have since returned to Ukraine. More than 7 million people have become internally displaced within the country’s borders.

According to the State Border Service of Ukraine, the number of people who entered the country from the EU and Moldova on April 15 rose to more than 36,000, up from more than 34,000 the day before-this is again the highest figure since the start of the war. And for the first time since the war began, this flow almost caught up with the flow of people leaving: on Friday, April 15 it dropped to almost 38,000, down from 42,000 the day before.
Of course, it is highly likely that this trend will change after today’s air strike on Lviv. Russian occupiers continue to launch rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities. On April 18, air alerts were announced in almost all regions of Ukraine and Lviv was hit by five missiles, which killed at least six people, including one child, according to preliminary data issued by Lviv authorities.
