A mortar has exploded at a military firing range during planned training firing in the Donetsk region, the press service of the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) reported.
According to preliminary information, the explosion occurred at about 11:40 a.m. on April 14.
“During the explosion, the 24-year-old senior soldier of the special forces company of the special operations detachment has been killed. Eight servicemen who were not far from the mortar received injuries of varying severity,” it said.
