MP of Ukraine Maxim Efimov (Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction) has acquired the Parkovy Convention and Exhibition Center in Kyiv and plans to transfer the center to the management of an international company and soon will present its development concept.

“I did not hide the interest in this facility and studied its investment attractiveness. I believe that the Parkovy center could well claim to be a European-level national cultural hub… After the court’s decision to cancel the seizure of the complex’s property, the new investor actually receives open opportunities for managing and developing the center,” Efimov wrote on Facebook on Feb. 19.

According to him, the formal owner of the facility is the mother of the deputy.

“As a person who wants to invest both in the image and in the economy of his country, I find this project interesting and promising. At the same time, as a people’s deputy, I have no right to engage in commercial activities and, naturally, I will not do that. My mother Liubov Efimova acts as a beneficiary of this business,” the deputy said.

As he said, the investor plans to entrust the international company with the operating activities of complex management.

“Negotiations with potential partners are already underway. And in the near future the concept of development of the Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center, unique for Ukraine, will be presented,” he said.
