The National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has reported that part of the materials of the case related to the Regions Party’s handwritten ledger was transferred to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) of Ukraine, but the Bureau is set to continue taking part in a pretrial investigation into this case.

“In June 2017, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office decided to hand part of the investigation materials over to the PGO’s Special Investigations Department as the agency that is investigating the cases of usurpation of power by the former president of Ukraine (deprived of the appropriate title) and his accomplices. We stress that NABU will continue, jointly with the PGO’s Special Investigations Department, the pretrial investigation into the criminal proceedings related to the so-called ‘black’ ledger,” NABU said in a press release.
