You're reading: Nadiya Savchenko’s sister summoned to SBU for questioning as witness

Vira Savchenko, the sister of Ukrainian PM Nadiia Savchenko, who is currently under arrest, is being interviewed as a witness at the headquarters of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) on May 3 morning, Tatyana Protorchenko, Nadiia Savchenko’s aide and deputy leader of the Nadiia Savchenko Public and Political Platform party, has said.

“Vira Savchenko is currently at the SBU, where she is being questioned as a witness,” Protorchenko wrote on her Facebook page on Thursday morning.

Protorchenko said that she too would go to the SBU on May 3.

“I will be there at 2:00 p.m.,” she said.

“Meanwhile, it is the 42nd day of Nadiia’s hunger strike,” Protorchenko said.
