You're reading: National Bank: Ukraine’s gross foreign debt 0.9 percent up in third quarter of 2016

Ukraine’s gross external debt in the third quarter of 2016 increased by 0.9 percent, to $ 116.015 million, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

According to the report, compared to the beginning of this year the country’s gross external debt decreased by 2.2 percent, to $118.729 billion.

According to the NBU, the external debt of the central bank was growing most actively in the third quarter, it was up by 17.9 percent, to $6.482 billion.

As reported, Ukraine’s gross external debt in 2015 decreased by 6 percent, or $7.58 billion.
