President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said that by the end of this year it is planned to open a military town of a new model at the Shyroky Lan military range (Mykolaiv region).
“Until the end of this year, we plan to open a new garrison town in the territory of the Shyroky Lan military range in Mykolaiv region. The brigade complex will include 11 military barracks of a new type, a dining room for 2,500 seats, a sports base, a modern recreation center for contract servicemen and officers, a post office, shops, cafes, and a medical unit,” the president wrote on Facebook on May 14.
According to him, this is the first such a large-scale project, which is implemented at the expense of budgetary funds.
“I will definitely come over at the construction site to personally check the conditions under which our defenders will study, train and rest,” Poroshenko added.
