A new poll by sociological research company Rating Group Ukraine shows that Sluga Narodu (Servant of the People), the party of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, enjoys the support of 47.5 percent of decided voters.
The poll, published on June 12, also shows that four other parties are likely to reach the 5 percent threshold in the parliamentary elections scheduled for July 21.
These parties are: Oppositional Platform – For Life, with 10.4 percent; European Solidarity Party (a rebranded political project of ex-President Petro Poroshenko), with 7.9 percent; Batkivshchyna Party of ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, with 7.5 percent support; and Holos (The Voice), the party of rock star Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, with 6.4 percent.
Among the parties approaching the list of winners is the Power and Honor party, led by Ihor Smeshko, a former head of the Security Service of Ukraine, known as the SBU.
Voter participation may reach 69 percent, according to the survey, even though July is a popular vacation month.
