We’ve been hearing a lot about Ukraine recently. From where it is on the map to its debunked involvement in the 2016 election. Even so, photographer Joseph Sywenkyj says we’ve heard very little about the people of Ukraine. For almost 20 years, the American-born photographer has been documenting the lives and struggles of Ukrainians. His photos are on display in a new exhibit at the Holderness School as NHPR’s Sean Hurley reports.
