The Consular Service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has said referring to the Consulate General of Ukraine in Turkey that there were no Ukrainians among victims of the explosion in Izmir.
“The explosion in Izmir: the Consulate General of Ukraine has reported that there are no Ukrainians among victims there,” the Consular Service of the Foreign Ministry wrote on Twitter.
Western media reported a car bomb was blown up on Thursday at a courthouse in Izmir in western Turkey. According to preliminary data, ten people were injured, and one of them is in critical condition.
During a shootout, the police killed two of the three terrorists who organized the attack. The third attacker escaped.
